Smik: »Meet the Next Generation of Textiles«
SMIK is a new textile design company based upon a Swedish/Austrian partnership. The founders Linda Dahlström and Elisabeth Auer have been devoted since beginning 2008 to create products that open up for new ways and possibilities in the area of interior design.
Today SMIK focuses on three lines: SMIK Wall Prints, SMIK Textiles and Design Your Own.
For SMIK’s first Textile and Wall Print collection "Tales of Science Fiction" total creative freedom has been given to South American designer Claudia Càceres resulting in a contemporary collection dominated by bold geometrical elements and vibrant colours. SMIK made their entrance with the launch of their first collection at Heimtextil Frankfurt this year receiving very positive response on their outstanding print quality and innovative material as well as on their high level of flexibility unconventional in the textile industry.
New technologies open up for more interaction. SMIK designs can easily be colour and size customized to better match individual interior concepts. Customers also find a partner in SMIK to realize their own design ideas already for small projects.
